COVID-19
We have resumed our seniors groups as of 22 July 2021, after the lockdown was lifted.
COVID-19 Update
In response to the Novel Coronavirus outbreak we implemented our COVID-19 Action Plan on 5/3/2020. It gets regularly updated according to emerging government and industry regulation and advice.
In compliance with physical distancing measures we have cancelled all group gatherings including seniors groups, meetings and trainings, and limited face-to-face contacts to essential services as of 17/3/2020. Our office team works from home where possible, and presence in the office is strictly limited. We continue to monitor our clients’ service needs and wellbeing. Assistance is provided for instance via support over the phone, shopping, transport to medical appointments, and a home visit if urgently required.
Our staff are trained in infection control, and provided with protective equipment such as disposable gloves, and hand sanitiser, if available to us. The safety and wellbeing of our staff and volunteers remains our utmost priority, together with the safety and wellbeing of our clients. We assess each face-to-face service based on the benefit to the client, and the risk to both client and staff. We have implemented additional and adapted existing services to maintain social contact, such as extended phone support, a mobile library delivering books, DVDs, CDs, quizzes; monthly newsletters, assistance with smart devices to access online content, personal post cards and more.
If you, or someone you know requires assistance, please call us on 08 8340 3889. Our community remains at our heart. Stay safe!
